Dear Walkers and Supporters, with great gratitude, i can announce a special online moment with two leading members of “Combatants for Peace”. As you all know, the Peacewalk is not about our own statements or wisdom – the Peacewalk is a place to learn what peacebuilding needs. And we are blessed to count some incredible Peacebuilders as our friends. Not only Maoz Inon and Aziz Abu Sarah, or Women Wage Peace and Women of the Sun, but also Combatants for Peace (nominated twice for the Nobel Peace Prize). https://www.cfpeace.org/ “For 20 years, Combatants for Peace has brought Israelis and Palestinians together to co-resist the occupation and build a future of peace, equality, and freedom for all.” They are former ‘combatants’, people that believed in violence. They not only have layed down arms, but also embraced like-minded people from ‘the other side’ tow work towards peace. The German SouthWest Route is meeting with Chen Alon (co-founder) and Ahmed Alhelou (prominent CfP speaker) on the route. And there's a zoomlink, so we can all join this digitally.
