This interactive webinar explores how media shapes perceptions, enhances critical thinking, and promotes accessibility. Based on the VOICE project, it focuses on interactive activities and non-formal learning tools to empower and support youth workers.
This webinar presents the core Methodology developed within the project Visionary Outreach in Inclusive, Credible, Ethical Journalism for Youth (VOICE), which focuses on enhancing media literacy among young people through inclusive, non-formal educational approaches. Coordinated by Ofensiva Tinerilor Arad and carried out in collaboration with partners across Europe, the Methodology offers an interactive space to explore the impact of media and develop practical tools for responsible engagement. The session is aimed at youth workers and educators who wish to deepen their understanding of media’s role in shaping identity, critical awareness, and accessibility, and to apply this understanding in their work with young people.
This 2-hour webinar combines discussions, energizers, and group activities focused on three major themes: how media influence shapes us, advanced media literacy and critical evaluation skills, and media accessibility Alongside practical tools, the webinar creates space for deeper reflection on how media impacts our perception of truth, objectivity, and identity. Participants will examine how narratives are shaped not only by facts but by emotional appeal, how bias is embedded in content and platforms, and how emerging technologies such as AI complicate questions of authorship, authenticity, and misinformation.
The webinar will start at 14:00 CET and will last 2 hours.
