OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
- Equip participants with tools to promote human rights in rural communities.
- Increase awareness of human rights in everyday life.
- Encourage active community participation in defending human rights.
- Develop participants’ skills in advocacy, communication, and project management.
- Support participants in creating action plans for local human rights activities.
PARTICIPANTS PROFILE
- Age Range: 16-30 years old.
- Geographical Background: At least half the participants from rural areas.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Focus on underrepresented groups, including LGBTQ+ youth and minorities.
- Interests: Human rights, rural youth empowerment, advocacy, creative expression, and community engagement.
- Engage in all activities during the exchange.
- Implement action plans and act as human rights ambassadors in their communities after the exchange.
- Collaborate with other participants and the organizing team post-exchange.
ABOUT HOSTING ORGANIZATION
Active Development Association (ADA) is committed to promoting sustainable and active development initiatives that improve the quality of life and build a responsible and active society. Our mission is to empower and engage young people, particularly those from rural areas and vulnerable communities, to drive cultural, educational, social, and environmental development. We aim to do this through community organizing, youth-led activities and events, identifying and addressing local, national, and European issues, providing training and education, promoting social inclusion, and developing partnerships with public and private sector organizations. With a focus on international mobility, youth policy and civic engagement, environmental awareness, and community development, ADA strives to create meaningful opportunities for young people to lead change and shape their communities.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD & TRAVELLING
During the Youth exchange participants will be hosted at Pensiunea Mama Cozonacilor from Șimon Village (Bran). The hotel’s website: Acasă – Mama Cozonacilor
The rooms will be shared between 2-4 people. The participants will have three meals and smaller coffee breaks will be provided during the day.
