The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international organization with a mission to accompany, serve and advocate on behalf of refugees and other forcibly displaced persons. Founded in November 1980 as a work of the Society of Jesus, JRS is today found in 50 countries, providing assistance to refugees in camps and cities, individuals displaced within their own countries, asylum seekers in cities, and those held in detention centers. Jesuit Refugee Service Bosnia and Herzegovina (JRS BiH), a non-profit humanitarian association, is seeking to recruit a Psychologist on a 6-month probationary term contract (with the possibility of indefinite employment) to assess the needs of refugees and migrants, and to develop actions, practices, and services for the unaccompanied minors staying at the Camp Borići in Bihać.The number of required positions is 1.

Job description
Position Summary | The main responsibility of the Psychologist is the support beneficiaries of TRC Borići established for the most vulnerable categories of refugees and asylum seekers. Job includes evaluating patients and gathering their history before diagnosing issues that need attention through the use of tests to develop a treatment plan to ensure the health and success of your patients. They will interview patients and perform diagnostic tests to get a clearer idea of their mental health issues. Ultimately, you will provide individualized treatment options for people to understand themselves better while helping others identify ways to change their behaviors and alleviate problems in their lives. |
