This study provides an overview of the media landscape in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). Its findings will help public authorities, policy makers, civil society organizations, professional associations and other relevant actors to ensure a healthy media environment in the country. Implementing its recommendations can contribute to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, which recognize the value of public access to information and fundamental freedoms, which in turn depend on a healthy media landscape. A free, independent and pluralistic media environment is crucial for peaceful and democratic societies. In this regard, the study can support the peace-building process BiH has been undertaking since the peace agreements were signed in 1995.
